Redgrass Hydration Foams: #
Your Redgrass Hydration Foam will usually arrive in semi-damp state and feel soft and flexible to the touch. Sometimes you may receive a Foam that has dried out and feels firm and inflexible.
Foam size and hydration #
Foams used straight out of the packet need to be properly hydrated (setup) before use. In this condition, they will appear a lot smaller than the palette tray.
Once a foam has absorbed a sufficient amount of water it will expand to the correct size.
Dry foams should be left to soak in cold water for approximately 5 minutes before following the setup guidance. This process is often required with foams that you have stored for a long period of time.
A fully hydrated foam will always be slightly smaller than the tray itself. This is deliberate to allow you to top offer the water levels more easily as you paint.
